(1) Solemnity of the Holy Family transferred to the Saturday before. The Circumcission and Holy Name of Jesus is celebrated on January 1.
(2) The liturgical color for the day is white even though this Sunday falls during the season of Lent. The Gloria is also sung/recited.
(3) The preaching and the hearing of the Word of God is considered a sacrament in the PNCC. The date varies as it is based on Easter. It falls on the Sunday after the Octave of Corpus Christi. This octave is currently suppressed in the Roman Catholic Church. Pope Francis instituted the Sunday of the Word of God on the Third Sunday of Ordinary time.
(4) The succeeding Sunday is Heritage Sunday.
