Christian historians have portrayed Constantine as a true and devout Christian. Others have suggested the emperor used religion purely for political gain. In this course, we will examine Constantine’s impact on, and his devotion, to the Christian faith. We will also examine other, often neglected areas, where Constantine had significant influence, such as architecture, the military, the use of violence to enforce religious beliefs, and governance of the Empire. Come join us for a trip through ancient history, and see the influence this Giant had on the modern world.
