Included in this section of my website are my CV,  my business resume, and other activities. I came to academia the long way around.  For many years I worked as a CPA and a business executive. I worked on my doctorate for ten LONG years on a part time basis.  This gives me wonderful insight into the college and the business world.

I believe I qualify as a Practice Academic (PA) under AACSB standards.  My CV contains my academic credentials. I hold a non-business doctorate but the AACSB provides for this situation.  A casual reader of my credentials  will note  my MBA was a 66 credit program, and not the 36 credit program offered now.  I passed the CPA exam on the first attempt and had a very successful career with a major accounting firm.

My professional engagement activities demonstrating recent PA activities in the last five years include:

Consulting activities that are material in terms of time and substance. I have continuously maintained a consulting practice since 2008 as in interim CFO, tax planning professional, and not-for-profit manager.  My practice included representing clients at the Appellate Division of the IRS and general business consulting.

Development and presentation of executive education programs

– Relevant, active service on boards of directors, This included three years as Chairman of the Board of MOCEANS Inc., a Center for Independent Living, and one year as a member of the board.  My involvement as a board member concluded in May 2019.  Centers for Independent Living manage federal and state funds assisting the disabled community to live an independent live.  This is very near and dear to me, as I am partially disabled.

Documented continuing professional education experiences (maintained CPE requirements through 2019 for my NJ CPA license.   NJ requires 120 hours of CPE over a three year cycle and no less than 20 hours for any year.  I have exceeded these requirements most years.

Authoring several books, including Decision Making Essentials (Vibrant Publishers)

Textbook reviews for both Wiley Publishers and Cambridge Business Publishers.

This is not an all inclusive list, but simply demonstrates some of my activities.
