It was definitely a different academic year for me. I had to overcome some personal challenges (detailed elsewhere in this website) to even come near to my usual production. At the end of the day though, I think I did come through just fine. Some of my accomplishments for the year were:

  • Mentoring four honors students with my colleague Dan O’Connor. Two students successfully defended their theses. One decided to finish a one-semester independent project, and the fourth began in the Spring Semester.
  • Teaching a new course—Business 155: “Business and Society”
  • Coauthoring several blogs with my fabulous co-author, Dr. Heather Kuhns, for the PICPA CPA blog.
  • Completing my D.Min degree. That included presenting my major project at the Moravian School of Theology Symposium in April and at the PNCC Scholars Conference in the same month.
  • Theology-based presentations:
    • “Women in the Bible” to the PNCC Regional ANS society
    • “The Incarnation in Eastern Christianity” to the Mercersburg Convocation in June 2026.
    • “The Beatitudes” for Carol-Traupman Carr’s podcast
  • Mentoring the Craft Club and co-mentoring the Catholics on Campus Club
  • Participating in the PNCC Savonarola Seminary reinvigoration campaign
  • Board member of Touchstone Theater, a community-based theater company that also runs the Moravian MFA program
  • Board member of Royalwood Associates, a holding company with outside financing that rolls up smaller accounting firms. Royalwood was started by an accounting major from Moravian University
  • Getting acceptable student evaluations for all seven courses I taught during the year.
  • PICPA work:
    • Board Member PICPA Foundation
    • Board Member, PICPA Council
    • Editorial Board Member, PICPA Magazine
  • Aslo see the Moravian School of Business Instagram Page for additional information (moraviansobe)

I am looking forward to next year!

Some highlights from the year: All three of us defended our work in peer-reviewed panels. I completed my D.Min degree. Sean and Tamarah defended their bachelor’s theses
