One of my favorite pastimes as a university professor is mentoring students as they work on honors projects or independent studies. I was privileged to work with several such students this year. Arly Hernandez graduated with a degree in accounting in Spring 2026. She is also bilingual. Arly did original research on the application of Zipf’s law in Spanish. There is surprisingly little available on that subject. Her article was published by the PICPA as a blog entry.
